Section 46.37.490. Safety load chains and devices required.

- It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle upon the public highways of this state without having the load thereon securely fastened and protected by safety chains or other device. The chief of the Washington state patrol is hereby authorized to adopt and enforce reasonable rules and regulations as to what shall constitute adequate and safe chains or other devices for the fastening and protection of loads upon vehicles.[ 1987 c 330 § 727; 1961 c 12 § 46.37.490.
